One of the most refreshing coffee drinks on hot summer days, but equally delicious in winter. Iced coffee with ice cream can be just as delicious and eye-catching as a real masterpiece in a glass. A lot of calories combined with coffee is a kind of refreshment and a source of energy after hard work or time spent on the beach. This time we present our version of iced coffee with ice cream that you can easily make yourself at home.
Ingredients
We will use instant coffee to prepare our beverage for ease of preparation, but you can use any chilled coffee. For example, if you are using espresso coffee, pour one shot over the ice and follow the rest of the recipe. The same principle applies to the french press coffee.
Our ice cream of choice will be vanilla because it is neutral and goes best with coffee, although chocolate or hazelnuts would not be a bad solution.
People with lactose intolerance and vegans can use a substitute for cow’s milk in the form of soy, almond, rice, or any other. It is also very easy these days to find an ice cream without cow’s milk and enjoy iced coffee without any problems. We used regular vanilla ice cream.
Iced Coffee with Ice Cream Recipe
First, we put a chocolate topping on the inside of the glass. You can use others to your liking, such as caramel. Be creative like us! 🙂
Then add a teaspoon of instant coffee and whisk with a mixer with a little cold water. Any mixer will do the job. If you do not have a mixer, it is enough to dissolve coffee in cold water with an ordinary teaspoon.
This is followed by the addition of 5 fl oz of ice-cold milk and two scoops of vanilla ice cream.
Finally, add the whipped cream and cocoa powder to the top.
Enjoy! 😉
This recipe is adapted for us to prepare at home. By the way, you can use a blender and ice cubes, but more on that in future posts.
